Hello and welcome to my PIDP 3100 learning blog. My name is Ayesha Anzer, and I currently work as a Curriculum Developer specializing in computer science and emerging technologies. In my role, I design learning experiences that help adult learners build practical skills in programming, artificial intelligence, and data-driven
problem solving. I collaborate closely with instructors, program leaders, and industry partners to ensure that the curriculum remains relevant, accessible, and aligned with the rapidly evolving technology landscape.
My journey began in Dubai, where I completed my Master's in Information Technology and taught computer courses at higher education institutions. Over the years, I have worked as faculty at Murdoch University Dubai and later at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) in Canada, teaching subjects related to computer science, AI, and data. Working with diverse groups of adult learners in both countries has strengthened my appreciation for inclusivity, learner-centred instruction, and the impact that thoughtful curriculum design can have on student engagement and confidence. These experiences gradually shifted my focus from teaching individual courses to designing entire learning pathways.
I joined the PIDP program to deepen my understanding of adult educational theory and to strengthen the reflective, intentional aspects of my practice. I am particularly interested in how adult learners connect previous experience to new knowledge, and how instructors can design meaningful, motivating learning environments that support autonomy and growth. Through this blog, I hope to document my learning journey, explore trends in education and technology, and build a resource I can return to throughout my PIDP experience and beyond.
